Why race Sundays work in Side

Most European rounds start mid-afternoon — which lands late afternoon in Side. The rhythm writes itself: beach until the shadows lengthen, stroll to Hawaii, order before the formation lap, podium by dinner. The Middle East evening races push later — aperitif hour — and we are open to 02:00, so even the odd far-flung round has a home.

The race-day order

• Grand prix + pizza is the house classic — one-hand food for a two-eye sport. Pick your pizza here.
• Frozen daiquiri or cold Efes — it is usually 30-something degrees outside; hydrate ambitiously.

Two-wheel Sundays get the same treatment — MotoGP races are shorter, louder and arguably better suited to a lunch slot. If it is a race weekend of either kind, ask us what is on when you book.
