A Nordic welcome in Side old town

If you've travelled from Sweden, Denmark, Norway or Finland to the Antalya coast, you'll know that a good cup of coffee is more than a drink — it's a pause in the day. At Hawaii Restaurant & Karaoke Bar, tucked into Side's old town on 512. Sk., we've been welcoming Scandinavian holidaymakers since 2000. Over the years, so many of our regulars have come from the North that we keep a coffee on the menu named just for that connection: Kaffe Karlsson.

You don't need to hunt for a Swedish-speaking café or explain yourself in a second language here. Our team is used to Nordic guests, the atmosphere is easy and unhurried, and you're just as welcome popping in for one coffee as you are settling in for the evening.

What is Kaffe Karlsson?

Kaffe Karlsson is our nod to the guests who put it on the map — a coffee with a Scandinavian name and a place of pride on our coffee list. It sits alongside the full range you'd hope to find: Espresso and Double Espresso for a quick lift, Cappuccino, Coffee Latte and Coffee Americano for something longer, and a proper Hot Chocolate or Tea if coffee isn't calling. Fika, the relaxed way

The Swedish idea of fika — slowing down over coffee and something sweet — travels beautifully to Side. Pull up a table, order your Kaffe Karlsson, and pair it with one of our sweet finishers. From the menu you'll find Banana Split, Cup Denmark, Cup Classic, Cup Dream, Strawberry Love, Fruit Fest, Dolce Vita and a classic Milkshake. It's the closest thing to a Nordic coffee break you'll find between the harbour and the temple ruins.

Morning coffee or a late-night stop

Because we're open every day from 10:00 to 02:00, Hawaii works whether you want a mid-morning coffee before wandering the old town, an afternoon fika in the shade, or a nightcap coffee after dinner. Later in the evening the mood shifts — we're a bar too, with 30+ cocktails, a Happy Hour from 19:00 to 20:00, karaoke, and live sport on the screens (football, including the Premier League and Champions League, plus Formula 1 and hockey). Come for the coffee, stay for the atmosphere if the evening tempts you.

Halal meat, family-friendly, and easy English

Hawaii is a genuinely mixed room — families, couples and groups from all over Northern Europe. Our kitchen uses a wood-fire and charcoal grill, and all our meat and chicken are halal (halal slaughter). To be clear and honest: we do serve alcohol, as we're a bar as well as a restaurant, and pork is available only on request, prepared in a separate area with dedicated equipment. We're on 512. Sk. in Side's old town (Manavgat, Antalya), a short stroll from the harbour. Staying a little further along the coast?
